Actually one celebrity is bickering and another is trying to be mature about having a difference of opinion with a billionaire terf
I wouldn't call “let's agree to disagree” a mature reaction to someone wanting other human beings dead.
She knows there's nothing she can do to change the terf's mind, but she may be able to guide others away from that mindset. Better to focus on the latter than try to engage with the former.
I wouldn't say her comments were 'agree to disagree' as that would imply that she's dropping the argument. It's mature to recognise that you can oppose someone's views and actions without hating them.
She publicly “treasures” (Watson's word) someone who spreads hate. It's a few step further than just not hating her… and it's empowering hate, because it normalizes it.
Hard not to when her work got her famous and to her place in the world right?
No love for Rowling tbc
