In their minds, they probably are since they can't conceive anyone being truthful, empathetic and not entirely self-serving.
It's that really so surprising? This is the crowd that thinks atheists are inherently immoral because they can't fathom anyone acting altruistically without the threat of eternal torture. That says a lot about their own internal moral compass.

Yeah, I mean a huge chunk of Americans don't give a fuck about Kirk dying though. In fact, I would say most conservatives are lying when they say they do care. Mostly, they're just upset that their ideology was attacked. So yes when trump blamed the left instantly, they loved having permission from the Fuhrer to do the same.
