Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

What in the actual fuck is wrong with people. Kirk was literally nobody.
They're doing the Wessel to Kirk - using a relatively unknown person's death as a unifying figure of propaganda and white-washing.

Americans have always been into their cult of personality. You see it every time with their presidents, they’re rabidly pro their guy.
Apparently tribalism and jingoism are the core American traits. It's astonishing how strongly.
Yeah, but at least people (generally) know who a President is. This guy was just a random wingnut influencer. Seriously, how many people even know who the fuck he was before he was shot?
I didn't.
You’d be surprised; he was a big influence on the younger MAGAts and pulled a lot of dumb kids to their cause.
I suspect the big tour he was doing was part of a project to groom him to take Trump’s place as the leader of the MAGA cult once the orange menace kicked the bucket.
He had about the same kind of charisma and the skill to make himself sound smart and successful to dumb people.
I mean, quite a few online people know who Catturd is, too. I'd be asking the same question if someone were to murder him as well - do we really need to Ronnie Raygun either Catturd or Charlie Kirk?
