If you want your 1.5 acres, you better not complain that the bus comes twice a day and the only doctor in the area retired 3 years ago.

They're saying you'll be living in a remote place with no regular bus

[–] bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works 6 points 19 hours ago

I was joking.

I already dont have a bus where I live haha

He just said it goes twice a day, though.

But yeah, I get what he meant.

I wouldn't mind though, I am from a town which literally had two buses a day going to the city. On Sundays, but still. But with a car it took like 25-30min to the city.

Yeah for sure, the bus here is maybe twice a day and I really wouldn't rely on it

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Oh, well here you can actually rely on the buses.

Nowadays all the towns near this city belong to the same transport network. But even so, there's just little to no demand for Sunday lines out of the town I grew up in, so twice a day on Sunday.

But you can rely it will depart on time.

This transport network (=my city, Turku, plus the two smaller ones in conjunction with it and the small neighbouring towns around) got the highest score in Europe in 2020 and shared #1 with Geneva for Benchmarking in European Service of Public Transport (BEST) surveys.

I'd need to use other systems extensively to be able to give a good comparison, but yeah, the buses in my city are okay.
