MODERATORS

In short:

The American Broadcasting Company has axed Jimmy Kimmel Live! for comments the host made referencing the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has received hundreds of complaints intended for America's ABC about the show being cancelled.

The vast majority of complaints sent to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation contained expressions of dismay, with many citing concerns about free speech and the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

Yeah, my beloved shitty football team also tried to have a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk, which wasn’t so silent since the entire stadium booed for the 2.5 seconds they tried to make that happen.

My countrymen are typically morons about all of this, so my apologies are extended when they can’t differentiate between the American and Australian Broadcast companies.

For @shirro@aussie.zone , we used to have civic education when I was a kid, but it was killed because it turns out that they intentionally want to keep the masses stupid.

Don’t feel too bad, there’s a reason 911 works here and people try to plead the fifth. Ignorance regarding such things ignores national boundaries.
