Is an autopsy independent? I have no idea how that even works, but i wouldn't trust it at all if the police has any way to get their fat fingers in between the autopsy and the results.
People fund independent autopsies for exactly this reason.
It's done by an independent person with no connection to any branch of government or police.
I believe it is.
