People seem to have missed an important point: that was mint tea with honey. Granted, I’ve never tried it, but that sounds like a nasty combination.

Honey is frequently added to herbal and green teas of all kinds, including mint. I’m sure there are even people who like it in black tea though I don’t know any.
I've only ever used it in black teas, and I'm pretty sure that's common to do. At the end of the day it's just a sweetener and can be used in any tea you'd add sugar to.
