Yes, literally. He is a part of the Christian sect called Dominionists that are actively trying to bring about the rapture.

evangelicals are so obsessed with rapture, when they havnt englithtened thier selves/society where they solved all thier societal problems. it has been part of plot in many shows and movies before.
