You actually don’t think Trump’s actions are fascist?
No, I don't think Trump's actions are fascist. I think some things can appear that way. But for one, Trump doesn't want, and will never have dictatorial powers in the United States. I dont think America, Trump, or Americans are as fascist as the media and the internet are calling everyone.
How do you explain this?
How do you explain this?
How do you explain the masked armed soldiers invading city streets while those cities explicitly ask them to leave?
How do you explain the zero punishment of obvious crimes such as using the White House to promote a cryptocurrency for personal wealth building?
Just because they are "antifa" doesn't mean that anyone opposing them is a fascist. Dont be gullible. I am anti-fascist, but im not in "antifa" group or part of that movement and no way would I ever call myself "Antifa". Its not the same thing. Although, they are pushing hard online with this narrative.
In fact, honestly i might not even be anti-fascist, in the same way im not anti-anarchism. Some things about fascism most people object with like racism, and authoritarianism.
I dont know. I believe in limited government,
Are you talking about the clean up crews kicking out ILLEGAL immigrants? Not the legal ones with visas and such, that differentiation is made. I dont mind border runners being sent back. There are immigration laws of good reasons.
And which judges are determining this legality?
American judges who live in America and are hopefully "pro-America"
I don't think that's the point. Whether or not they think Trump's actions are fascist, which I assume they do because they are on Lemmy, doesn't matter.
The point is that the name of an organization (or group) does not exactly have to match its intentions and actions. If I made an anti-Nazi party with all the ideology and policy of the Nazis, and committed horrible crimes, then I could call out my opposition and say that they were Nazis for opposing my anti-Nazi party.
I do think Trump is a fascist, but not because he is "anti-anti-fascist".
The meme is entertaining, though
