The woods were absolutely full of these. Found at least 10 patches.

US PNW. I have encountered them before in one specific location at this time of year but this year they were all over the place. It seems so specific to weather history since I didn't find any of the other varieties I usually do. I also found white chanterelles when I never have before.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I've never seen chanterelles this time of year, either, but I know that they're out there.

I was able to gather some hedgehogs and coral types to fry all four together. Not a single king bolete this year though which was strange.
