Even though it is a well written, informative and comprehensive article, I still feel like I am losing braincells reading it. It is so incredibly stupid what some humans stoop to.

[–] Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Same. At one point I found myself skimming words without taking them in and I had to stop.

I did learn one important thing from all of this though - there are more fractures and divisions among the far right than there appears. Ever-smaller factions fighting amongst each other is better than one coherent group fighting the rest of us.

The right always fights. It's why fascist regimes eventually collapse. They eat their own.

Fuck, we invent some useless shit. I wonder what'll be around in 50 years? Tea cosy wars? A disdain for people with attached ear lobes? A religion that proclaims the colour yellow to be heresy?

[–] Maxxie@piefed.blahaj.zone 22 points 1 day ago

You overestimate progress in the field of bigotry. In 50 years they will hate (in no particular order) people who are:

  • black
  • brown
  • jews
  • asians
  • gay (as umbrella term, come at me lesbians)
  • genderfreaks (saying it as a genderfreak)
  • overwheight
  • neurodivergent
  • religious minority
  • homeless

So, pretty much the same as 50 years ago

Careful what you say about yellow or they might come for you next.

Green is not a creative color

Don't hug me I'm scared reference for anyone wondering

[–] Albbi@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 days ago (4 children)

As a person with deuteranopia, I find your assertion offensive. Next you'll be saying purple is a real colour that totally exists.

[–] prettybunnys@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago

purple

Ayyyyy get out of here with that kind of language, that is so goddamn offensive.

You have angered the Roman Emperor prepare to lose your penis. If you are not in possession of a penis one will be assigned to you.

... gurple? green-purple?

Or....does it all more or less come across as something like brown?

Or gray?

Only in our dreams, brother/sister/NB sibling!

[–] zergtoshi@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Can there be green without yellow?

[–] galoisghost@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Mlem served up some fabulous irony on this comment thread!

Targeting Charlie Kirk

What the fuck?! Seems pretty relevant to look into re: the past week but no let’s blame it on leftists

[–] SkyeStarfall@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

It is very relevant yeah. They hated Kirk, and it very well may be that the shooter was a groyper

Thanks. Also interesting to read about the origin of Pepe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepe_the_Frog
