Not snide, reflective question: What makes you think you can't get banned here?

Not that you can't get banned, but that you won't. Reddit will ban you because they're conservative-owned and operated, and love censoring any form of dissent. Most Lemmy mods don't give a fuck about your opinions as long as you're not directly calling for violence.

That's not the Reddit I've experienced, I've seen lots of anti-israel posts and comments with lots of upvotes.

Here on Lemmy though I got banned because I disagreed with someone calling North Korea democratic. It was .ml tho and their echo chamber couldn't handle the difference of opinion.

Yeah, that's also bullshit. Anything even remotely in favour of Israel will get you banned on a lot of communities. It's just a different flavour of ban reasons.
