Possibly, but hard to say. If my guess is right and the Deckard is a split unit with a home console like base station and a lightweight headset mainly for streaming then probably yes.

It will probably run steam OS (Linux)...so that's why I was thinking that.

Sure, but why add streaming support in desktop Linux if the Deckard is a stand-alone unit? Linux on desktop is small enough, especially those overlapping with VR use that it really doesn't seem like this would be worthwhile, and so far Valve seems to have been of the same opinion as the VR streaming via SteamLink only worked on Windows PCs.
