https://freelinuxpcgames.com/ the website doesn't look malicious but would like if anyone has proof otherwise I know there's torminatorr, but I would like some direct download websites for Linux since I can't seed while pirating because my ISP has limited bandwidth of 1 TB and my fascist country Iran has $300 minimum wage and I have better ways to use that than seeding, but I don't like leeching EDIT: seems the website is malicious I guess I'm forced to leech or use proton with steamrip games

While not full proof, but you can always sandbox it with firejail or bubblewrap.

But make sure to read the documentation thoroughly.

What about creating an user account only for games and not in the sudoers file? Would that be a reasonable way to protect your main user account?

I tried using bubble wrap for this purpose, but it's too difficult and doesn't seem to target this use case.

I'd add the xpria element to the firejail command, and/or a virtual machine with no internet to be extra safe
