I also got the heat pump water heater, and it does a lot of things. It cools your house during the summer. It saves you on electricity. For me, the saving is between 30 and 50 US dollars every month.

And my power company was offering a $500 cash rebate if you purchased one, so for me it was like $1,300 and then I spent $500 on all the parts and pieces I needed to get it installed, but I installed it myself with the help of a friend.

All of the plumbers in the area wanted two or three thousand dollars to install it, which is highway robbery.
