I’m trying to remember the part in the Grapes of Wrath where the Okies didn’t like moving to California but kept saying how good the dust storms were and how if they didn’t give all their money and land to the banks, the banks would leave and move to another country.
It is the most bizarre claim that wealthy will leave the US if they had to pay their fair share. If it was true it would be a good thing. Let them all leave, it is not like they pay their share anyways. I will call that bluff.
Yeah. They'll go from not paying their fair share, to living somewhere else and not paying their fair share! What a loss!
