The artwork, which shows a judge hitting a protester with a gavel, was confirmed by the elusive street artist.

They cordoned it off and covered it with tarps or sheets. They don't want to paint over it or destroy it because it's instantly worth a fortune and nobody knows exactly what to do, which is part of the genius of it.

It is just delicious how their knee-jerk reaction of "lets hide it" reveals so much about their mindset and how much that mural hits the target as critique of the true role of their profession in present day Britain.

They reacted as the guilty do, not the innocent.

Yeah I saw in the article that they covered it up and posted guards. Kind of ironic if they end up removing the section of wall and making a ton of money selling it.

"Look, Banksy thinks we're committing atrocities! We're gonna be rich!!"

it’s instantly worth a fortune

The whole point of Banksy is most of his public work cannot be resold.

"He no longer sells photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, but his public "installations" are regularly resold, often even by removing the wall on which they were painted"

The latest articles have also stated that the art will be preserved for it's "historic value" which is even more funny. They don't want anyone to see it, they find it offensive and deeply troubling for calling out abuse of power... but they are going to spend a fortune to preserve it or resell it in some way.

To a degree, people will cut out chunks of wall to sell a banksy.

Usually it's just fenced off and people can still see it. Makes me think some one was upset with it.

They always go for a cover up
