Strong disagree with this one. This was like a slippery slope for the History Channel, and soon it would be all Ancient Aliens, all the time. I honestly believe this early enshittification was like a gateway drug for people peddling “alternate facts”.

It's like, Animal Planet was the last one that even understood the assignment.

Yeah I gave up on the History Channel years ago ..... they used to good when I still watched things on cable but at around year 2000, all those science and education channels just morphed into junk TV, shitty reality TV and pseudo science alternate "facts" shows.

The last time I remember anything good coming on the history channel was before 12/21/2012, because for something like half a year they just could not fucking stop with all of that "Nostradamus" and Mayan Doomsday shit. The last History Channel original series I remember being wholly worth watching was Life After People, several years before that. History International took a few more years to enshittify.
