Lol, I somehow never heard that genre referred to "redneck pop". I've always called it Horse Disco
I think Bo Burnham's "Pandering" sums up my feelings on redneck pop pretty well. I still enjoy the "New Country" songs from when I was a kid, but at a certain point it got a bit silly. I think "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" was the breaking point for me.
