Threadiverse tends to not like even soft critiques of psych. For some reason ahah.
I once said a problem with mainstream psychiatry as practiced by the average practitioner is it can end up pathologising structural issues as individual problems to be blamed on the individual. And I got downvoted??
Well obviously. The structure cannot fail; only be failed.
If the gaping, insatiable, self-serving maw of modern humankind imposes that systemic expectation on you... Be like Cap'n Crunch & shred that palate until it learns to respect the lifeblood, the prols, The Belt, et al.
I wasn't aware humankind had ten armies for fingers and love that's oil and stone, etc. I was under the impression that was some other kind of thing that we made, which is not a person.

The focus on personal autonomy and what can be changed can look blame I guess. Not the same thing.
