Are there any good FOSS email providers? Like...I don't want to deal with setting up my own email service, that sounds like a nightmare. I used Proton for a bit and even that got me spam filtered out of a lot of important communications.

What's a "FOSS email provider"?

An email provider that uses FOSS products under the hood but operates as a normal for-profit company?

That's what I'm asking! I would assume that they would be some sort of non-profit that would operate on FOSS, but is that really even an option w/r/t security? Proton has FOSS licensing, but their backend isn't really open is it?

The OP is talking about email, and the comment I replied to was talking about open software for businesses, so I was asking for alternatives. I'm not really tech savvy enough to operate my own private email server.

Fair enough, I use webhosting with Mythic Beasts for my domain and I just decided to use their email hosting too for my domain, it's way too hard for a small player to set up their own email and be viewed as trustworthy, with all the things the big companies do - I feel you for that one.

Do you have any problems with MB? I was using my own domain with Proton, and for some reason outgoing email was only working half the time. Switched to Google for the time being, but it's SO EXPENSIVE (and also Google) that I want out ASAP.

MB works very well for both domain and web hosting for me
