You're not alone in that sentiment. Sadly, even with a heavy, proactive push, things won't return to "normal" for probably 20-50 years. (Pure conjecture / estimate).

What's stopping you from leaving?

For me I just need to convince one other family member...but the dominos are falling.

Mainly just money for me. There just is no feasible way for me to have the money I would need to move to another country and that opportunity will probably shrink along with the value of the dollar
