In an interview hosted by Politico, the California governor said the US must ‘wake up’ to the the threat posed by the president’s disregard of democratic norms

Donald Trump is gravely serious about running for a third term in violation of the US constitution, California governor Gavin Newsom said on Wednesday, warning Americans to “wake up” to what he described as the president’s flagrant disregard for democratic norms.

“I don’t think Donald Trump wants another election,” Newsom, a Democrat, said during a live interview at a summit hosted by Politico in Sacramento. “This guy doesn’t believe in free, fair elections.”

Newsom, who has gained national attention in recent weeks for his merciless trolling of Trump online and who is widely considered a presidential contender, said he had a stack of two dozen “Trump 2028” hats sent to him by the president’s supporters.

Which is odd. I don't understand how he would suspend elections, as the states run those. So, essentially if some states refuse to have an election, and the rest do, then he loses.

Obviously he wouldn't accept that, but the voting states will likely form the Union again, Ally with the rest of the world and crush the every loving shit of the Christian Nationalist movement once and for all.

Maybe we let them keep Florida though. Just the cock part, and have a massive DMZ across it.

I like this scenario, except for the Florida part. Florida is too beautiful to leave it to the likes of MAGA Nazis. They can all go live on Epstein Island, and leave Florida for the good Americans.

I'm trying to think of the worst place they could live. How about some remote part of North Dakota that doesn't have any minerals? Or some very low areas that no one else wants to live in, since they don't think climate change is real?

The Union can form an enclave around Gatorland.

"You know what y'all need? Ya'll need Gatorland!"

Take the entire Orlando area, they'd be thrilled to get their crosswalk back and some sane leadership.

Also I love how a bunch of internet randos know about my favorite field trip spot when I was a kid.

Nah, the rest of the Orlando area has been dealing with a pretty nasty mouse infestation since 1971. Only Gatorland is worth keeping.

The cock part is the more progressive part.

Really? Damn. Makes sense why they put alligator aushwitz where they did then.

I was thinking of places like Tampa, Orlando, down to Miami. But I guess there is plenty of red down there too. Yes that’s where alligator Alcatraz is located.

Was going by the old expression in Florida, the further north you go, the more south you get.
