To some extend i agree to your sentiment but it feels offtopic/disconnected to the reason behind the article
I would even argue that the likely reason why the solider survived was not the stupidity of the russian soliders but that they did not double check -> lazyness
My comment was a tongue-in-cheek remark about Russia being so incompetent that they couldn't even cut a throat correctly (and that being a good thing because he survived).
You're trying to read way too much into it. It's pretty common for comments on Lemmy to be about a situation in general rather than specific references to the posted article.
