The United State military, though the strongest on Earth, cannot compete with the combined forces of Canada and Europe. OTOH, the rest of the "free" world doesn't seem to be taking us seriously enough.
OTOOH, us American's aren't willing to go full war against our friends, and it takes hella more to drive our war machine than Trump has charisma. Civilians drive that machine, can't do without them, think on that. We're not 1930s Germany, starving under hyperinflation.
LOL, got me! Our billionaires and political masters will not likely go that far. I'd like to think they've learned a lesson or two from history, will only drive us to the very brink of desperation.
You'd need a jarhead rebellion for that not to happen.
Very unlikely, considering they join, willingly, the most belligerent military on the planet.
