What's with all the British and English flags everywhere all of a sudden? (feddit.uk)

Been out today and immediately noticed our local mini roundabouts with red crosses painted on them and nearly every motorway bridge with either a union flag or a flag of St George fixed them. It's like they've just appeared overnight? What's suddenly brought this on?

Do you have a UKIP local council or something?

[Edit] or are you anywhere near this town that was in the news Guardian article recently? (There was a thread on here the other day)

Nope, this is up North, and was on a long stretch of motorway through Lancashire and Cheshire. Although yeah we do have a Reform county council now unfortunately.
