Everything the guy does is almost good.
Pan's Labyrinth was great? Hellboy was immaculate?

That's a weird way of spelling "perfect movie". Also, who hurt you?
Del Toro has a sublime visual sense, but... yeah, his movies usually leave me cold. Not much of a storyteller, IMO. Pan's Labyrinth was an exception, though, and I'm hopeful that the strength of the material he's adapting here helps pull it across the finish line.
He has a history of great looking monsters.
For sure. I have no doubt that this will be the best looking Frankenstein movie ever made.
