How is it different to what women and trans people do to their bodies? Is that also mental illness?
Exactly what do women do that's the same as this?

"Beauty is pain" is a saying from women
-Some women bind their legs to stay petite, permanently crippling them.
-Most long term hair removal is painful
Bindings are certainly crazy, IMO.
Hair removal v. bone surgery is not the same.
