The only way verify if a service is private, is to see the court documents and subpoenas that show that the service actually does not keep any logs and has no information on its users that would help the court or provide any evidence.

Companies don't have to release anything if government has a under the table deals with them.

They will only admit after someone reveals it and then they go back to advertising their "privacy" like nothing happened.
