For example, I don't like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It's such a cozy movie.

A name I haven't seen in this thread is Owen Wilson. I hate his aloofness and his delivery. When combined with Ben Stiller it's a force multiplier.

He is also an huge Asshole and horrible man

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Owen Wilson!? I hope this isn't true.

[–] MissJinx@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He has a daughter with an ex (DNA confirmed) but since he hates the ex he refuses to meet the girl (she is like 6yo). There was a video doc about this and the poor little girl looks like him and it's super cute. He pays child support but refuses to acknowledge her existence and if a reporter asks he refuses to answer.

Any man that denies his own child is a horrible person.

That's sad. I'm a single dad who has maybe shouldered more than my share, to put it a little mildly, so it resonates. The optimist in me hopes there's more to the story or that the kid is an unredeemable psychopath.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

At 6, it's practically a guarantee. All kids are psychopaths until about 10.

My cousin once stabbed me in the leg with a pair of scissors and thought it was hilarious.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

I have no expertise on anything, but neither of my two children have stabbed me, nor others I have been around, just in case the anecdotal evidence helps anything.

I'm in the "Owen Wilson makes everything he's in better" camp. I love that guy. How can you not!? He's like a starry-eyed child full of wonder.

I mean I don't follow you, but I won't scorn you for your opinion. I'll gladlyhand my share of wow over to you!
