I guess I'm glad somebody on the left is finally reciprocating the populist style memeing necessary to contend with trump and current far right politics. "Fighting fire with fire" would feel a lot better though if our flamethrower supported trans rights, among other things.
Trump won twice not just by being a memelord but by leaning fully into the populism necessary for his base. You can't achieve a 'left' version of that by just meeting him at the meme level. The contending policies have to be so popular that they're obvious.
He's definitely a milquetoast douche when it comes to trans rights, BUT he also isn't actively trying to legislate them out of existence and CA has some of the strongest trans legal protections in the country. It's a low bar to clear, sadly.
