Last weeks thread here

Welcome to this week’s casual kōrero thread!

This post will be pinned in this community so you can always find it, and will stay for about a week until replaced by the next one.

It’s for talking about anything that might not justify a full post. For example:

  • Something interesting that happened to you
  • Something humourous that happened to you
  • Something frustrating that happened to you
  • A quick question
  • A request for recommendations
  • Pictures of your pet
  • A picture of a cloud that kind of looks like an elephant
  • Anything else, there are no rules (except the rule)

So how’s it going?

I've been talking about doing something like this for a few years now..... but still havent got around to it lol.

I keep telling myself I'll do it when we move to a single storey house with accessible eaves - as we currently live in a two storey concrete block / brick veneer house which seems like additional hassle to run cables etc

To be fair, that does sound like a good excuse! I want to put in a reolink doorbell camera but I've got to drum up the confidence to drill through the side of my house. Eaves aren't very noticeable and I reckon I can do a good job of patching a hole, but drilling through the weatherboards next to the front door seems like I've got to get it right or it will be obvious forever 😆.

Haha I know the feel.

Measure what's seems like 10 times, cut/drill, find out you measure correctly, but didn't take into account some variable...
