To summarize the summary, California’s $20 fast food minimum wage, enacted in September 2023 and effective April 2024, led to a 3.2% employment decline after adjusting for pre-AB 1228 trends, amounting to an estimated loss of 18,000 fast food jobs.

Sounds great for such a dramatic increase in wages! The Y Combinator comments generally find this a good thing while a minority clutches their pearls over corporate wellbeing. Won't someone think of the corporations?? D:
