The time skip feels natural, and even though I was initially skeptical about the premise that Hank and Peggy moved to Saudi Arabia for years (seems so out of character for them), I now appreciate how it allows us to see the Hills react to the ways life in the US has changed. It was a great choice.

Dales voice is really bad but completely understandable.

Kahn's voice sucks too... but again we know why.

I was very pessimistic about the whole thing going in but the show won me over fast. I loved the scene "It's nice to be nice" captured what Hank is about quick.

I wish they had kept the original Kahn voice actor. It must feel awful to lose your character like that, and I'm very much in the camp of not restricting voice actors' range.

And yeah, that scene was good. I was genuinely feeling sad along with Hank and Peggy in that parking lot, in a "you can never go home again" sort of nostalgic way. I like that it felt like a commentary about real life and rebooting a beloved show at the same time.

Toby Huss should've kept acting as Kahn. I'm of the opinion the best VA is the one that best fits the character. If they really wanted an Asian VA then why stop at just Asian? They should've specifically chosen a Laotian to do the part for real correctness.

Wait the guy doing Kahn now isnt laotian? This is an outrage!

Ronnie Chieng could have at least tried to sound recognizably like Khan. Surely there was a way to lose the stereotype without losing the high-pitched, high-strung sound.

I don't think I get to have much opinion on this.

I can say that King of the Hill is why I know ANYTHING about Laotian culture.

I do wish Dale sounded less brain dead though :( BUT I think picking a veteran voice actor for him is more respectful than having a new comer portray him

Re: Dale… You can’t replace perfection, I suppose.
