I always appreciate the effort with these threads.
We have a hedgehog in our garden who now sleeps there during the day too.
He (we think he's a male based on the video we have managed to capture) took to visiting our garden regularly in the past and we have gradually added a hog house for him to eat in, a camera to watch him on, and finally a second hog house for him to sleep in.
We read that hedgehogs don't like to sleep where they eat so felt he would benefit from the second house. He seems to agree as he now sleeps there during the day, eats breakfast in the food house as the sun goes down, then heads off on his rounds before returning for a final snack before dawn and ultimately settling down again.
He's very handsome but leaves a terrible mess behind and chews with his mouth open. My wife regularly comments that she wouldn't suffer open mouth chewing from any human but she finds it adorable when our spiny friend does it.
That is adorable, I love hedge hogs!
