I recently heard how hard it is to even establish a party nationwide. Each state has its own rules, and you really do want the party in every state.
My vision was that maybe there was one that went through all that rigmarole.
But don't get me wrong, come election time I'll support whatever has the best chance of getting Trump OUT and at least promise to undo ALL the damage.
Part of it is that there shouldn't be nation wide parties. No single party could ever adequately represent an entire nation. Let alone a single state. And as we can see, none of them do.
When you keep adding more and more layers, town representatives, under county representatives, under district representatives, under state representatives, under federal representatives. Each more divorced from those they're supposed to represent. Each with more power, power which corrupts more. It's insanity to think it can be fixed by some new, equally out of touch national force. Or at least that's the anarchists view.
For my money we need to jettesen the federal and most state level representatives completely. Having groups answerable to their constituents, working with other similarly answerable groups. This is the way. We'll die waiting for any national party to save us. Get with your neighbors, build the local government you wish to see. Encourage others to do the same. Work against the national parties where you can. Show solidarity with the group most likely to beat the worst candidates, even if they happen to be part of a national party.
I know for instance there are some great local elected green party endorsed representatives in blue states. But the national green party is a joke. They spent the last election attacking the one candidate that stood a chance of beating trump. Knowing full well they couldn't. Which combined with all the Democrats self inflicted wounds gave trump a clear path to end all democracy. Which makes the national green party worse than the national Democrats in my book.
