I think the writer is a bit delusional. I actually laughed when he said a German publisher turned down his second book because Germans might be confused by an Italian backdrop. Now im not from Europe but I'm pretty sure Germans are not getting confused by a book set in Italy of all places.
I don't understand how that makes the writer delusional? Did you mean the translator who turned the book down?
