Rather political post from Fr. Seraphim Rose so it might gain some traction.

I would suggest that this is ultimately the source of the "conservative" or "apathetic moderate" outlook... The idea that we cannot actually institute some wonderful, salvific policy that will change everything.

what a surprise, we remove downvotes and instantly all kinds of religious posts are downvoted

regarding revolutions, probably the Anti-Christ will achieve some illusion of a kind of change that seems like a "wonderful, salvific policy that will change everything".

But then it will come crashing down into the chaos the OP image talks of

Yes, I agree with your assessment.

And it is fine - these people can downvote... Let them. Yes, it is kind of annoying, particularly when you trigger someone and then all of your posts with little traction get systematically downvoted, lol. But it's fine.
