When he made the dumb ass statement criticizing James Gunn for calling Superman an immigrant a small part of me wanted to believe he was just actually concerned about the financial future of the franchise and just thought incorrectly that angering bigots would negatively affect the film. But this completely confirms that nope, he's just another racist and bigoted scumbag.

He played Supergirls adopted father on the tv show and was unceremoniously killed offscreen because it was a show filled with women and trans people and Cain was an insufferable bigot on set and nobody wanted him around.

I can understand why they cast Cain in that show; Supergirl's cast was filled with people who'd been involved with previous Superman projects. I still don't get why they cast Sorbo, though.

They just didn’t know?

Supergirl predates MAGA, it predates the first Trump presidency. Back then, those people kept that shit to themselves mostly.

Sorbo has been pretty open about his conservatism for a while. God's Not Dead predates MAGA, too (2014).

True, but back then the worst thing about the GOP was Dubya. There was still a belief that Conservatives could be reasoned with.
