Is this haikyuu? I don't recognize anyone

[–] Nima@leminal.space 2 points 2 weeks ago

I'd recognize Oikawa and Aoba Johsai players anywhere.

[ʍɒt ɪf aʊ̯ə]
[ɒp.sə.veɪ̯ʃi.ənz]
[ɑːnt ɪn.di.pɛn.dənt]

Doesn't work. This is 3-5-5, it needs to be 5-7-5.

I meant the actual characters in the meme are from Haikyuu!! which is my favorite anime.

Oh. I thought you misspelt Haiku.

5-6-5. Anyone who pronounces our in a single syllable should be run out of town.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

The standard pronunciation of "our" in most dialects of English is one syllable.

Good thing I don't run. Either way, it ain't a haiku.

Edit: and if you're counting "our" as two syllables but "aren't" as only one, it's time for self-reflection
