I noticed a soft plastics collection bin at my Woolies. Sign said it’s a trial. I’m gonna start collecting plastics again, hopefully they don’t get hoarded in a warehouse again.

I think it's better the supermarkets pay to keep them in a warehouse than they end up in the ocean. Maybe that will incentivise them to stop wrapping everything in plastic

Me too. But even if it’s a scam, having to bear the cost of collecting might put pressure on supermarkets to reduce the ridiculously excess plastic packaging of many products. Better than ratepayers having to foot the bill when local council has to dispose of it.
