This os good because trying to find loopholes around biblical law is about 50% of being Jewish. It's cool that they get to do gamesmenship with their God.
It's about 100% of being "religious" in the US.
Nah, Christianity in the US is just ignoring the parts of the Bible that don't justify your selfishness and hatred.
Finding loopholes is kinda the opposite of this, because you have to have a working knowledge of your religious text. The closest thing I can think of for Christianity is Catholics claiming that fish isn't meat.
"Let's run a wire around the entire city so we're technically inside on the Sabbath!"
I have immense fascination for Jewish faith due to that, they're huge nerds and actually put effort into questioning and making the religion work
I love the old joke about 5 rabbis arguing over their interpretation of a law, only for God to come down and tell them what it means, only for one of the rabbis to say "well now we uave 6 different opinions."
