Do you somehow not realize moving countries is difficult and expensive?

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 7 points 1 day ago (6 children)

I do, so why would someone move from the supposedly "greatest country on earth", to somewhere else if it's so difficult and expensive?

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (5 children)

They wouldn't. I was commenting on the fact that you said you'd move if you didn't like your country best

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I would. Granted, I am fairly privileged and live better than a lot of people, so that is mainly a comment for myself.

I am assuming you are Danish from your instance. In any case, don't you realize that the only reason you could just move countries is that you already won the jackpot? Yes, you are quite privileged. Many Americans would love to live in Denmark. I know I would. It's far from an easy option and pretty much means I'd not see my family except maybe once every year or two

From my previous comment, "I am fairly privileged and live better than a lot of people"

And it's the answer to your question: "Don’t you realize that the only reason you could just move countries is that you already won the jackpot?"
