Alaric's whiskers are as pitch-black as the rest of him is, so they do not show up well in photos unless they happen to catch the sunlight or have a light background behind them. He was already an older boy when I adopted him, so I think if he ever did learn anything the hard way he did it long ago. Candles are just about the one thing he doesn't sniff to investigate, fortunately. I think the worst experience he has given himself with his whiskers since I got him was the time that he woke me up because his whiskers tickled my nose. I wound up sneezing directly in the poor guy's face
I have never thought to collect shed whiskers before. What do you do with them?
You keep them in a small decorative box. And you say, "This is my whisker box. I put whiskers in it." Then you have whiskers, in a box.
Yep. I keep mine in a teeny jar that used to hold watch parts. It's my whisker jar.
I repurposed a pharmacy pill bottle. I'm afraid of dropping a nicer container when I'm depositing new whiskers, sending all the whiskers flying. So, little plastic tube with a lid. Thanks, anxiety. ๐
I have mine on a little knickknack shelf, but I affixed it with poster tack because I'm afraid of the same ๐
