The big lie or big secret is even today's LLM models could make better decisions than those at the too of the chain. Every time they talk about replacing jobs. Remeber that director and vp and ceos can be replaced with a simple AI and market data.
An AI C-suite would run a company in a more detestable manner than a human simply because a human knows that they can bleed and an AI doesn't have a family.
Having families hasn't kept any CEO from doing whatever they want whenever they want.
When it comes to making money a functional AI would institute work from home, a shorter work week, and the other improvements that have proven records of increasing productivity. It wouldn't be petty and change things to just change things or make work worse for everyone to establish dominance.
We don't have functional AI yet, but in the mythical land of logical and evidence based AI it would absolutely run things better than a human without needing some kind of threat.
I guess C-suite of United healthcare knew that people bleed...
