No. It doesn't. I've read lots of articles implying the rate of adoption was slow, and most ps5 owners were just playing a lot of ps4 games for a long time.
It was shocking to me how little I cared. After like 4 years I own maybe 3 PS5 games and finished none of them.
I got a PS5 so I could play Demons Souls Remaster, when that game launched.
I haven't touched the console since I beat the game. It has been sitting collecting dust for years, just like my Nintendo Switch did before I sold it.
