My friend keeps telling me to watch kpop demon hunters. I am almost certain it's a mid tier garbage movie but just because it has a couple catchy songs and good animation it appeals to the general masses.

Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Its strange to me that this is even a question that needs to be asked. All art is subjective and opinions will always differ. So if you haven't already, just watch it and decide for yourself.

Just don't watch it with your homies or your pride might get in the way of you enjoying it.

..or do, and enjoy it anyway. It's actually pretty funny in parts, and the movie is going viral for its songs, they're actually good songs for once. Thank fuck. I'm so sick of listening to "Let it Go" 10 times a week with my 6 year old daughter. It's a relief for parents everywhere.

I watched it and resonated with my previous thoughts and other comments in here.

The movie itself is very well done and lots of effort was put in to it. The storyline wasn't anything surprising and the songs are catchy for some people. While I don't think it's the best movie ever like some people may think it is, I can't say it's a terrible movie either.

Yeah I kinda agree. But the hype it's getting is mostly from tweens and fans of K-pop. It was never going to the most amazing movie ever. I think it's getting lots of praise because compared to all the Disney classics it's different, and I'd say more enjoyable you watch. It's just a kind of refreshing take on the genre. My kids both love it, and I like it so it's a win for me 😅
