Fun research but i think it needs not enough to draw conclusions. Interestingly in the desert people do wear black because it's as cool or cooler than white: https://backpackingguys.com/why-do-bedouins-wear-black-in-the-desert/

Nice read! Exactly what I hoped someone to bring up, as I also heard about desert garments not being white. Castelli has to research in “hovering” garments fluctuating on the riders body then :D
