Just got off call with psychiatrist, who wants to start me on Ritalin and Clonidine. Here goes nothing, I guess. I am scared. He said to call the clinic if things don't go well.

Maybe I am just lazy, anxious and have a slight internet addiction that's holding me back.

Different things work for different people. If you try and it doesn’t work out, you can stop or ask doctor for alternatives. If you feel you don’t have enough information about the medication, possible side effects etc, call the doctor and see if they can answer your questions. If you want to try a bit longer with therapy before starting medication, theres nothing wrong with that choice. Healthcare should occur in the context of informed consent, but some doctors are not great at the ‘informed’ part!

Thank you :) I've seen quite a few different psychologists from when I was a teenager to now, so over a decade, and still struggle with the same behaviours. The only thing that's changed is my mindset and level of resilience.
