I was in middle school/high school at the height of nu metal. I hated it, but I didn’t mind this band. Love the original, but this version is definitely a banger. Also, Deftones will always be the best thing to come out of that genre.
Deftones sorta drifted through it. They were founded in the late 80s as a post-hardcore act, and by their self-titled album, they were angling toward post-rock.
